Whole-school homework timetable: “Promoting a culture of achievement so that all of our students gain positive outcomes.”

This timetable outlines on what day your homework will be set. Your teacher will aim to give you approximately 1 week to complete the task.

Homework plays an important role in developing independent learning skills and reinforcing learning. Students who regularly study at home are more successful and better prepared for tests, exams and controlled assessments.

Homework will support your learning e.g. learning some key vocab for MFL, revising quotes for English literature or learning equations for science.

  1. Your teacher is responsible for setting this
  2. YOU are responsible for doing it
  3. Your parent(s)/ carer(s) are responsible for making sure you do it

Your subject teacher will set homework regularly on Frog. It is your responsibility to check your set homework throughout the week and complete it on time. You may also choose to record homework in your planner.

Your homework will probably not be marked, BUT it will be used in your next learning or in test. If you fail to complete your homework on time or to the specified standard, you will have a department correction.

Try to find somewhere to do your homework where you can concentrate and avoid distractions- you can stay back in school or come to homework club 3-4pm Monday- Thursday in the SLC and 1.30- 2.45pm in the ISC on Fridays to help you with this.

ASK for help if you need it, you must be proactive in seeking help BEFORE the homework is due.
