Learning Support at The Hermitage Academy

The Hermitage adopts a whole school approach to inclusion where the teaching, learning, achievements, attitudes and wellbeing of students matter – including those identified as having Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

The culture, practice, management and deployment of the schools resources are designed to ensure that all students are able to fulfill their potential. The Governing body believes that all students, regardless of potential or performance, should be valued equally at The Hermitage. Consequently, SEND students are not viewed as a separate entity but are an integral part of the whole learning community, where their differing needs are met and recognised through varied and flexible provision.
